Question on Wise Co consolidation

This may have been discussed previously but I haven't seen it...

If the "two schools on one site" deal eventually happens, will it be possible for students to transfer from one school to the other without moving?

I don't have a dog in the fight, I'm just curious as to what's in place to prevent athletes from changing schools just because they feel one has a better chance to win in a given sport.

I would assume that it would be no differant that the way current transfers work (would require a move) not sure how students will be assigned to a school yet (could there be overlaping areas?)

Hoard... yes. Kids can switch schools anytime they want, but a transfer in VA to a new school without a physical change of location = 1 year of athletic ineligibility, unless mandated (consolidation or split).

If Wise says a kid can go to either NEW school, everyone should be eligible the first year. But after that, it's still 1 year on the bench if you switch.

Surely they will mandate a certain "line" that will determine who goes to what school. If anybody could go to either school somebody could just set up a system where all of the best athletes go to one school to have dominate teams.

lines don't matter - a kid can go anywhere he wants anytime he wants right now.
AAA has a bit of a problem with that... heard that a certain Va. Beach HS has a magnet program that just happens to be something that the best swimmers in the city decide they are interested in.
